Stock Market Games: Start in Your Browser or Download the App?
Compare browser and mobile stock market practice, understand games versus paper trading, and try Redvest before deciding whether to download the app.

The short version
- You can open Redvest in a browser without installing an app.
- Browsing and signing up are different steps: game play and saved paper trading require an account.
- Choose practice by what you want to learn, not by a simulated return or a points total.
Searching for a stock market game download often starts with a simpler goal: trying investing without putting real money at risk. You do not need to decide which app to install before exploring Redvest. The button at the top opens the browser product, where you can look around and decide what to practice.
Choose a game, a lesson, or a simulated portfolio
| Your learning goal | A useful place to start |
|---|---|
| Recognize a concept | Use a short game or quiz, then explain the answer in your own words. |
| Understand how an order works | Use paper trading to review quantity, price, cash, and order status. |
| Build a foundation | Start an investing lesson and return to the topic you found confusing. |
| Review decisions over time | Keep a practice journal alongside your simulated portfolio. |
These activities measure different things. A quiz score measures answers to its questions. A virtual portfolio changes with simulated activity and market prices. Neither is proof that you can earn the same result with real money.
Browser or mobile app: what changes?
- Browser: open a link and explore without an installation. This is useful when you arrive from a guide or want to try the interface first.
- iOS or Android: download the official Redvest app if you prefer returning from your phone's app list.
- Account: use the same Redvest account when returning. Your saved practice belongs to the account, not to a new signup on each device.
- Access: you can browse as a guest, but launching games and saving a paper-trading portfolio require a free account. An install is not a substitute for signing in.
A focused first session
- Open Redvest in your browser. If onboarding appears, follow it or skip to explore.
- Pick one question, such as how a stock price changes or what buying power means.
- Choose a relevant lesson or browse the games. Sign up when prompted to start the activity or save your practice.
- Write down one thing you learned and one thing you still cannot explain.
- Return to the same account for the next session and review that question before choosing another activity.
Try it before choosing a download
